Behind The Lens & Art Design

Geboren in Amsterdam-Nieuwendam op een koude winterse februari zondag 1951. School vond ik saai en had meer oog voor de vlinders die langs de schoollokaal ramen fladderden. Mijn interesses lagen meer bij sport, handvaardigheid en ontdekken van de wereld. In de begin jaren '80 heb ik in Amsterdam de kunst academie afgerond en werden mijn Art uitspattingen tentoongesteld in meerdere Galeries in Amsterdam. Buiten de kunst ontwikkelde ook mijn liefde voor de camera. Als Freelance heb ik vele mooie dingen mogen ondernemen. Door visuele problemen is het werk met de werkcamera's helaas afgelopen maar de liefde voor mijn werk met de camera blijft, alleen nu met het kleinere werk. Ik heb nu weer meer tijd om de kwasten en paletten niet onverdienstelijk ter hand te nemen.

Mijn Photo & Art foto's worden/zijn gebruikt voor o.a. diverse Mediabedrijven, Reisbranche, Commerciële brochures, Publicaties, Boek illustraties, Europese Post nl. postzegel, Thema illustraties, Muziek evenement Books, Wallpaper, Posters, Street & City View.

Sinds 1994 fotografeer ik de jaarlijkse Pride Amsterdam en hoe leuk is het dan als je een e-mail ontvangt van de KONINKLIJKE BIBLIOTHEEK en IHLIA LGBT Heritage met de mededeling dat jou website Proud to be Gay * Amsterdam (mei 2020) in hun archieven is opgenomen voor de toekomstige generaties. Beide organisaties zijn van mening dat de website bijdraagt aan de historie van de Amsterdamse LGBT cultuur, de website geeft een representatief beeld van de Nederlandse LGBT cultuur, geschiedenis en samenleving .

Born in Amsterdam-Nieuwendam on a cold, wintery February Sunday, 1951. School was boring to me and I was more interested in the butterflies that fluttered past the schoolroom windows. My interests were more in sports, crafts and exploring the world in the 60s. In the 1970s I completed the art academy in Amsterdam and my art excesses were exhibited in several galleries in Amsterdam. Outside of art, my love for the camera also developed. As a Freelance I have been able to do many beautiful things. Due to visual problems, the great work with the camera has unfortunately come to an end, but the love for the camera remains and now I have more time to pick up the brushes and palettes.

I have been photographing the Pride Amsterdam since 1994 and how nice is it when you receive an e-mail from the ROYAL LIBRARY and IHLIA LGBT Heritage with the announcement that your website Proud to be Gay * Amsterdam (May 2020) will be included in their archives for future generations. Both organizations believe that the website contributes to the history of the Amsterdam LGBT culture, the website provides a representative picture of the Dutch LGBT culture, history and society.

My Photo & Art photos are/have been used for various Media companies, Travel industry, Commercial brochures, Publications, Book Illustrations, European Post nl. Stamp, Theme illustrations, Event books, Wallpaper, Posters, Street & City View.

Deze foto (2008) is genomen in een moment van liefde en geluk tijdens een boottochtje met mijn lief en geliefde vrienden door de grachten prachtgoed van mijn geliefde Amsterdam .

Post.NL heeft in 2012 deze prachtige Europese postzegel en dag enveloppe naast het Historische Scheepvaart Museum uitgebracht .

This photo (2008) was taken in a moment of love and happiness during a boat trip with my sweet and beloved friends through the beautiful canals of my beloved Amsterdam.

De foto is genomen tijdens een boot tochtje met mijn geliefde en vriendjes op een zomerse dag in augustus 2008

Na jaren kwam ik door toeval in contact met één van de geliefde op het Homomonument.

Helaas heeft de dood deze geliefde mannen gescheiden.

After years, by chance, I came into contact with one of the loved ones at the Homomonument.

Sadly, death has separated this loved one.

IJAZZ One stage 2008- 2009

Het IJAZZ festival op de Amsterdamse Noordelijke IJ oevers is twee jaar opeenvolgend in 2008-2009 met groot succes georganiseerd door Stichting Podium Promotie Amsterdam Noord.

Een tiental grote nationaal en internationale Jazz iconen en belovend jong talent waren te bewonderen door het grote aantal publiek op het oude NDSM terrein.

The IJAZZ festival on the Amsterdam Northern IJ banks was organized with great success for two consecutive years in 2008-2009 by Stichting Podium Promotie Amsterdam Noord.

About ten major national and international Jazz icons and promising young talent could be admired by the large audience at the old NDSM site.
